PEL ATLANTIS 306 and 309 are premium quality system oils designed for the crankcase lubrication of low speed marine crosshead engines, using low sulphur content fuels. These products have sufficient alkalinity to neutralize strong acids which are produced from the combustion of fuel sulfur.
The additive package used, provides excellent thermal and oxidation stability at high piston undercrown temperatures, in oil cooled pistons, and because of the increased detergency, the formation of undercrown deposits and deposits formed in piston cooling spaces and crankcases, is minimized. These lubricants have enhanced protection for heavily loaded bearings and very good water separation ability. PEL ATLANTIS series are excellent system oils for the main lubrication of new or older low speed crosshead type, diesel engines.
